You have posted an item in the Mandolin Cafe classifieds, and someone replies to it: but, your e.mail pops up a red and purple thingy and warns you NOT to open said e.mail as it WILL probably HARM your computer.

So, since your computer has been harmed in the past, you are twice shy, and instead of opening ..............

You reply to it, but your e.mail postmaster tells you it could not be delivered.

So, if said person is reading this, get an e.mail addy which will not be perceived as malicious. (not saying it IS)

And, my anti-virus and firewall are not set so terribly high that most e.mails are intercepted.

Ah me, lose a sale but stay sane.............and online.

How about downloading the email and looking at it as text? If you view it with a dedicated text viewer, there should be -nothing- malicious that can be given an opportunity to slash you. All replies are also logged by the cafe, so you might be able to ask the moderators to look it over for you and assess the dangers. I suspect they'll readily do that for you.
