Default My DeMeglio's first night out!

Okay...maybe this should be in the 'folk' forum since we're playing a folk tune...

but here I am playing at open mic at Kaufman Kamp.

Carlo included some Northern Italian folk tunes in his instructional material (which are soon to be published in a collection by Mel Bay)

This is a waltz called L'Alborela.

Please be kind...I only played it a couple times before the performance http://www.facebook.com/#!/video/vid...5357029&ref=mf

Thank you Victor, Jamie and Alex! I wish the sound in the video was better because the guitar and bass really made the piece sound wonderful! It certainly was great from where I was sitting!

Victor - I told you she would be in good hands! Carlo looked at her today and gave me a few suggestions of some 'quick fixes' that might help her return to her former glory

Lovely playing, Kristin and the DeMeglio sings quite sweetly. Also, it is nice to hear that Carlo is returning to Italian music. Not that anything he does isn't wonderful, but I do enjoy that music.

This tune really made me wish I could take the first plane down to Roma to enjoy my morning-cappuchino there... Thank you for sharing!

Thank you Jim and Simen. The Polka and the March he gave us were pretty fun as well, but I didn't have enough time to work those up for public consumption. I am looking forward to this new collection...hope it comes out soon!
