I had the day off today for my birthday and took pictures of my 1936 Gibson A-Century in the beautiful Wisconsin autumn leaves!
Anybody else have autumn mandolin photos of their mandolin?

Our peak is about a week from now. In Northern Wisconsin they're at the peak now.
Great reds with your Gibson!
My wife wasn't really keen on the idea of helping post the picture after I did this to her mum.

From my archives. Finished about this time of year based on the aspen leaves.
Thanks... I planted a row of these red maples several years ago ... one about every 40 ft along the 100 yd long boat ramp/launch by my house. They are starting to get fairly big and are beautiful in the fall for sure. It will be well into Nov. before they start turning red here.
I remember that picture I think Jim. BEAUTIFUL!

Large pictures from my wall....
The leaves on the trees here look nothing less than breathtaking ... reds, yellows, oranges, browns ... but it's hard to get the mandolin pictured with those colors because you'd have to put the mandolin in the tree!
The trick is to figure out a natural looking shot to incorporate them. Probably right after they fall off but still have most of their color, by laying the mandolin in the leaves like jartop did on the far right of his pictures.
