I do like his maker's label... in Latin! Guessing it's a tongue-in-cheek reference back to the Italian source of our mandolin culture?

Hey CES opening Bid is $499 - you could have a crack and see if no one else bids...
Hereby & forthwith, any instrument with an odd number of strings shall be considered broken. With regard to mix levels, usually the best approach is treating the mandolin the same as a cowbell.

Nice! Depending how high it goes, I might have to take a swing at that.

I am the lucky winner of the Old Wave C# mandolin #108 on EBAY. I want to thank those of you who took the time to spot the auction and report it on this Mandolin Cafe forum. I first read about the auction here. I am looking forward to having it in hand and to playing it as I am very partial to oval hole mandolins and Bill Bussman's reputation as a builder is well-known.. All the best to you all. Bob Goldberg, Asuncion, Paraguay

Bob, I came very close to bidding against you, but in the final minutes of the auction I decided that my Old Wave oval A is enough for now. Please report back when you get it, I would love to see some better pictures and hear what it sounds like.
