Default Good mando store in Connecticut?

I know there is a good shop in Guilford, but they are closed for the holidays. Anyone know anything else?

I suppose you could plan a trip to Mandolin Brothers in NY.

Don't everybody yell out all at once, now!

If you are looking for a mandolin - good luck. Wait until George Youngblood (Acoustic Music) reopens. If you need accessories, try Sam Ash in New Haven, right off Exit 59 off the Wilbur Cross Parkway. There are three Guitar Centers in the state now, too.

Depending on where you are in Connecticut, the Music Emporium in Lexington Mass might be as close as anything else. Otherwise I second the wait for Acoustic Music or a trip to Staten Island.

yeah, there's a little driving to do, and I like George's Guilford shop as much as anyone. Bryan and Tripp, who run the store part of the shop do have a couple of really nice Weber "A"s they had custom built for the shop, which I like quite a lot. There's also a Monteleone on consignment for what most of us would think of as stupid money, but it is a sweetie. Otherwise, it's off to the aforementioned Music Emporium, or try getting ahold of Maple Leaf Music in Brattleboro, Vt, what has a few nice things.
