Default Carlo Aonzo and Elena Buttiero

I love the 18th-Century Mandolin cd that they did in 2008. Do you like their cd from last year more, less, or about the same? I'm probably going to get it.

    Get it...

Both are wonderful CDs...but if I had to choose to listen to ONE of them all the way through (in the age of digital music, does anyone do that anymore???)...I would choose Fantasia Poetica...just because of the musical variety within the CD.

Also...I highly recommend his latest CD with his orchestra...some great pieces (and playing) on it!

I wholeheartedly agree with KristinEliza's endorsement. This coming on the heels of hearing Carlo & Elena perform several of the pieces on this CD live last night in Portland (and also supporting them as an orchestra member on a couple of other pieces). You won't be disappointed!

Thanks for the reviews, which were basically what I was expecting. For the orchestra cd, are you referring to his Vivaldi one? I have that and love it! Or, is there another one I should also get?

No, this is a different CD, with the Orchestra dell'Accademia Internazionale di Mandolino.
