Default Berklee Mandolin Mashup 2011 Archived

    Starts about 10 minutes in.

This archive is from the live stream and not as high quality as the in house DVD, but will give you an idea of what went down on 5-4-11 at the Berklee Performance Center in Boston...I will be adding higher quality clips to my youtube page once I get the DVD's image/sound sync issues sorted out.

Performers include these stellar mandolinists in a wide variety of settings and styles:

    Suzanne Oleson/Chasing Blue
    Alex Gable
    Bryce Milano
    Jacob Jolliff
    Dan Bui
    Liam Lewis
    Matthew Witler
    Sierra Hull
    Dominick Leslie/Deadly Gentlemen

and an international cast representing Canada, South Africa, Palestine, Japan, Venezuela and the US of A. Enjoy!

That is the future of the mandolin there.......I'd seen & picked with some of these phenoms before at the early Symposiums, Bryce, Jacob, Matthew, and Dominick....... it is fun to watch their progress. How about that Mike Barnett on fiddle and Sam Grisman on bass! I've seen Barnett play with the DGQ +1,
    quite a talented young fiddler.

Thanks for sharing this John, as I missed it live over the internet & wanted to check it out! They all played cool stuff, for the tone & power Jolliff, caught my ear......he got a great sound.
