    Default Sweet Child of Mine intro

    i found the tabs two weeks ago and have been learning it every day since. this is probably one of my best runs. looking for some feedback.

    how does my mandolin sound? i tuned it right before i hit record, and keep in mind the mandolin cost only 50 dollars. curious what you guys think of the sound it creates.

    Really good job!
    I enjoyed that very much, and your mandolin sounds fine. Good recording, also.
    For a next step, you might want to work on up/down/up/down... strokes for picking the eighth notes in the intro instead of using all down strokes. This should give you more of that beautiful flow that Slash gets when he plays it.
    Well done. I look forward to seeing more!
    Oh, and another thing that might be fun is to go right into the chord strums after the intro. You could use big, fat, open chords to get that acoustic flavor. The chords are:
    D = 2-0-0-2
    Cadd9 = 0-0-3-0
    G = 0-0-2-3
    Enjoy.

    nice job so far and keep it up. I learned that intro on guitar a long time ago and still have trouble nailing it. I like what Ed said about going into the chords to cap the intro, and don't forget the trail-off lick at the end either.

    see guitar tab below:
