    Default My new mandolin

I'm new to the forum and want to say hi. I am a relatively new player. Been playing guitar for a long time. Owned some mandos over the years. But never really stayed with it. I owned an eastman 815 5 years ago. But sold her to make boat repairs.
Anyway been looking for a mando for a while. Found an Infinity on Craigslist for $60.00.
F style. Chinese made I would imagine. It looks to be solid wood. I filed the fret ends.
Oiled the fingerboard. Adjusted the truss rod. Sanded down the sharp edges on the bridge corners. New set of strings. Set the bridge intonation. And proceeded to play for a good 90 minutes. Not bad. Staying in tune. The bridge is crap and needs to be replaced. The string spacing is not right. I'll try and post a pic.

The top appears to be laminated, not carved, I have owned some good sounding mandos with laminated tops though, enjoy it and welcome to The Cafe....

Welcome to the obsession...I mean to being a mandolin owner. Enjoy the ride.
    Cheers, Brian.
