Thread: Memphis in the Meantime chords/tab?

Default Memphis in the Meantime chords/tab?

    Greetings,

I am a mando enthusiast with minimal playing skill. See: newbie. I can tinker some, but not alot.

Anyway, 40th birthday party coming up and I've asked the band to play Memphis in the Meantime. (Most likely Sam Bush version). The band has asked me to sit in.

I would love to, but cannnot find the chords/tab anywhere for the mando. Any suggestions?

for the record: the chords are my primary interest. I can't pull of the Sam intro or licks, no way, no how.

    Thanks!

    Dave

Here's a link to the lyrics and chords. Looks like the song is in "E".
you could ask the band what key they play it in and get the chords from them too.

I just googled the song name, chords and many sources will pop up.

    Good luck!

Actually, it's fairly easy on the mandolin....

You just stand there holding the instrument staring straight ahead for the whole song, and then when the vocalist hits "I like mandolins", you blast a loud tremelo'ed B chord and smile...
