    Default Pickamania! raffle Old Wave ovalhole mandolin

    Our local acoustic music festival Pickamania! will raffle off an Old Wave ovalhole mandolin this weekend, details, online tickets, and woody pictures at http://www.mimbresarts.org/pick_raffle.html.
    Proceeds help fund this free festival put on by the non-profit Mimbres Regional Arts Council.
    Thanks for supporting live traditional music!

    Can't believe it has a "bison femur nut!" I've heard of many a bone nut, but never one that was specifically ID'ed as to species and individual body part.

    I'm pretty sure the "must be present to win" stipulation refers only to the iPad2 give-away at the event, which is not a raffle since there is no cost to enter.

    It doesn't appear that the winner of the raffle need be present, but there also doesn't seem to be any information about shipping expenses should the winner be outside the region either.

    By the way, That's a beautiful mandolin!

    It was won by a disabled vet in a wheelchair who resides in a Silver City RV park and plays ukulele with a weekly jam session. He was speechless! hope to get a photo up soon of the presentation. Thanks to everyone who participated and helped promote live acoustic music in New Improved Mexico. On stage there were fine San Juan, Stelling, and Old Wave mandos played, the rain drove the Squashblossom boys under the big rainshelter where they played unplugged for half their set, my favorite music of the weekend.
