    Hello MandoMike subscriber!
Here in the UK we are still in the grips of a full lock-down, but mandolin practice is pulling me through and I hope it is with you too. With the nights still long and winter in full force, I thought I'd try and write some lessons to help kick those mid-winter blues. The topic I've chosen for this month is .... The Blues .. (yep, didn't think that one through)
Before I talk about the lessons, I wanted to bring to your attention that I am 50 subscribers away from 1K over on my YouTube channel, so if you haven't already, could you hit 'subscribe' when you next watch a Mando Mike video? Thanks!
Both lessons cover different aspects of the 12 Bar Blues, so you should look at both if you can! Here's a little more info on each lesson...

Beginner & Intermediate - Introduction to the 12 Bar Blues
For the Beginner & Intermediate Lesson, we're going to cover everything you need to know about the 12 Bar Blues. We'll look at Chords, Shapes, Rhythms, Melody and Improvising... and then a lie down. I'll call on my other half Jay to play some guitar as we practice all of those different elements over the course of the lesson.

Advanced - Advanced 12 Bar Blues Techniques
For the Advanced Lesson, we'll be looking at some of the more advanced mandolin techniques you can use to improve your solos. I have a loose transcription of the fiddle solo in Bob Wills' 'Milk Cow Blues' and we'll look at adding Tremolo, Double Stops, Triplets and Drones to make the solo more suited to the mandolin.
