Hello all! sorry, Haven't visited our cafe as I was busy with other things..

I would like to present a complicated and a major part of Carnatic music called 'Ragam Tanam & Pallavi' - a single piece of nearly an hour divided into 3 parts...
I am posting the 2nd and 3rd parts..
The ragam or scale is called 'Gamanasrama' which is rare..

here I am posting 'Tanam' - improvisation of the scale shared by the main artist and the violin which is rhythmic in nature but with no percussion...

Pallavi - A single line composition played in variations and different speeds and improvised exchanges between the artists..

feedback welcome...
