Pegasus case price

The Pegasus is a superior case in terms of protection. It is easier to carry as it is balanced better, just a better design all around. Worth the extra dough. I have 2 of em and one Calton (see my avatar for what that one did).

My Pegasus case is falling apart. It is a little over a year old and one of the latches is pulling away from the case and eventually is going to break off, the glue on the interior has failed in many locations, and now the padded "V" which cradles the neck of the mandolin is failing and no longer holds the instrument securely. Guess I got a lemon 'cause most of the ones I have seen do not have the problems I am experiencing.

Mike, its dark grey with green interior. Anyone know a good and safe way to remove stickers?

The paint jobs are kinda fragile. I got a small dog case cover for mine.

The colour of a fibreglass case should be given to it by a coloured pigment in the 'gel-coat'. That's the glossy finish that you see on cars or boats that have a fiberglass body - not paint. That said,the resin that forms the gel-coat,will itself be prone to chipping if knocked hard enough,so in Arthur Sterns 'case' - his use of a case cover is a very wise move,
