Default New Interview w/ Matt Flinner on "Winter Harvest" and more!

    Hi All,

I would like to share an exciting new interview that I just posted on my music blog, Uprooted Music Revue.

The interview is with banjo/ mandolin master Matt Flinner. We discuss his musical history, extensive discography, and new album by the Matt Flinner Trio, "Winter Harvest" (out this week via Compass Records).

    Check it out here: http://www.uprootedmusicrevue.com/20...t-flinner.html

Thanks for reading, and if you enjoy the interview, be sure to follow Uprooted Music Revue on facebook and twitter. Your support is very much appreciated.

    Cheers,

    Chris

How and when did you pick up the mandolin?

Matt: I picked up the mando at about age 12 (banjo at age 10). I liked it because it seemed to me to have an exotic sound to it, like something a pirate would play. What kid doesn't like pirates?

Well that's the first time I've ever heard that. Wonderful interview, thanks for sharing!
