    Default 1979 Washburn new to me!

    New to me, but middle aged (like myself)!

    I purchased this from the Cafe Classifieds . Thank you Bill!

    Jethro Burns prototype serial #372 year 1979?
    Documentation says this is a prototype.

    Since I am new to this it is tough for me to evaluate how it sounds. In a couple of months I could probably say something better. But comparing to the other mandolin I have:
    It doesn't have as many overtones, that is it seems that each string is clearer. I really dont know how to describe this.

    Its loud enough to play over the top of my sons Breadlove guitar. So we had some pretty fun jams given that I only know three songs.

    its also easier to play than than the other mandolin I have. I guess that means I need to get the other one set up

    That is one of the best looking backs I've ever seen on a Mandolin. It's without a doubt the finest looking Washburn I've ever seen, how is the tone?
