    Default Randy Wood mandcello

    I went to Randy's last night to see the show (the Boxcars bluegrass band) and ran into Adam Steffey playing this recently completed instrument. I don't think too many folks are building or playing them so it's certainly worth seeingClick image for larger version.

    Very cool! Steffey is "famous" for his sparing use of the little finger in fretting the mandolin but I'll bet he has to use it on that beauty! Was it built for a customer or is it for sale and if so how much? Thanks.

    Gruhn's has a RW octave mandolin in the same style. Cool stuff!
