    Default Free sheet music

I have spent the last few days gathering up all (or most) of my compositions for mandolin and putting everything on a single CD-R for convenience sake. The CD contains PDF sheet music of all my principal works for mandolin to date, including the 4 mandolin concertos, Dioses aztecas, Six Pantomimes, the Van Eyck Variations, Danseries anciennes, and other stuff. Some of these works are published by Wolfhead Music, and those too are included, but in PDF. Also included are audio mp3s of most of the works (just the computer playback -- no live recordings on this CD). Anyone who would like to have a copy of this CD-R, please contact me privately (craton AT wolfheadmusic DOT com).I understand that my CDs make great protective coasters.

You could save yourself some postage and CD burning by zipping the contents or compressing into an RAR file and using an available web host and allow folks to download it. You could make the link available via e-mail so you can control how far out it gets as well.

Thanks for the idea, Jamie, but that all sounds more like something my sons would know how to do rather than an old dog like me. I don't anticipate a huge postage bill on this one, so I'm happy to send out to all who ask (so far ... may change my tune if I get thousands of requests, but then I'd be dreaming anyway).

Very generous, John! Thank you very much! I think sending to Bulgaria will cost you more, so i would like to compensate you or at least send you something in return. I will send you an E-mail in few minutes.

    Best,
    Plamen

Thanks to all who expressed an interest in my mandolin works. I just dropped all the CDs in the post this morning. If you requested a CD and do not receive it in a timely fashion, or if you have any problems opening the files, please get in touch with me right away. I think I sent a copy to everyone who gave me their address ... I still have a couple people who asked for a CD but have not yet sent me a mailing address. Hope the CDs arrive soon, and safely.

Thanks John. New to Mando and have been looking for some classical pieces. I have been mainly doing Celtic and Rags and such coming from classical guitar background. I will gladly reimburse what you think is fair for your effort.

Thanks very much indeed John for sending me a copy of your CD which is greatly appreciated. Given that you had to post it to the UK this is especially generous of you.

    John,

I received my disc on Saturday but I'm waiting until I have some time before I dig into it. Thanks a million. Both your compositions and your generosity are amazing.

Has your copy already made it across the pond? I know of at least one that was just going to New York that hasn't gotten there yet. Go figure.

Just received my copy in the UK -- many thanks, John! On first browsing, the piece that particularly catches my eye is the early music suite ("Danseries Anciennes"), which both in terms of technical difficulty and instrumental configuration looks like a good match for our ensemble. I'll try to have a read-through at our next rehearsal!
