Musedit - musical software
**Probably should have posted this here instead of where I posted it....**
Has anyone ever used the program Musedit?
Here's the link... http://www.musedit.com/
I went to download it and got a certificate error which worries me that it might be a virus. It seems to be the best music/tab editing free software out there. Works for mandolins, banjos, guitars and more.
I've gotten to where I don't like seeing my notes on paper handwritten and sometimes you just can't find a song written like you like to hear it....so I have to do so work. I've been drawing everything in PowerPoint, which looks super cool, but takes a lot of time.
Any suggestions? Anyone else know a good music editing program that does music and tablature? Free would be nice of course.

I've used it for years. Further development/refinement of it has been stagnant for almost 10 years; it was a one-man operation and the guy is into other stuff.
But it is fast and easy to use. Doesn't look as good a Finale or Sibelius, but it's not bad.

Re: Musedit - musical software
I have used Musedit for years to create lesson plans for students without too many problems. I bought my copy from Elderly for about $50.00. Cheaper than Finale or Sibelius?
When I needed support I was able to get in touch with Doug that same day.
