    Default Martin A

    http://www.mandolincafe.com/forum/sh...OLIN-with-case

Is this original finish? Didn't know Martin did a "burst"

All the ones I've seen have been natural wood colour. Except the carved tops, but I don't think they call them an "A"

If someone did this post factory, they did a good job.

    Anyone know?

Yes, they did some with a burst, though not very common. Looks like original finish to me. This is a Style A with mahogany back and sides. Style B through Style E have rosewood back and sides with increasingly elaborate decorative detail. Price on this one is pretty good and it has the original case.

Thanks for that, Capt. It's a nice looking Martin.

Working on one right now, from e.bay. Was pretty much destructed when I got it. Back off, fretboard ruined, etc. Just the way it was described........lol. Natural finish. Nother month...........
