That's very nice! I hope she sounds as great as she looks.
If F-model mandolins have F-holes then why don't A-model mandolins have A-holes???
Would you PLEASE leave a Brentrup or two for the rest of us?![]()

OK, so which one is this? Which top wood? Is it a prototype (demo) or one that you ordered?
this is the 23v red spruce demo. #sorry, guys, i couldn't wait. #i had to have it like NOW. #when hans said he was selling it i couldn't sleep all night. #i called him the next day and jumped on it. #just waiting for the new tailpiece now. #
jason- sorry, no can do. #i gotta have 'em all. #

That mandolin is the reason why I chose Red Spruce as well. Every time I tasted Hans' mandolins it said "I'm the one!"
Mary, watch for the UPS man. He's got something for you!

Is it getting the new James tailpiece?
mick meinsler
yes, it is speeding its way through the ups system as we speak. #sometime next week i will be speeding my way to connecticut to have it installed. i have a really hard time leaving the mandolin even overnight so my luthier is going to do it while i wait. #
i have to commend bill james on his swift production of these tailpieces. #(i'm not a big fan of the price tailpiece that strings from the underside).
