    i bought this from hans after he returned from IBMA this year.

    That's very nice! I hope she sounds as great as she looks.
    If F-model mandolins have F-holes then why don't A-model mandolins have A-holes???

    OK, so which one is this? Which top wood? Is it a prototype (demo) or one that you ordered?

    this is the 23v red spruce demo. #sorry, guys, i couldn't wait. #i had to have it like NOW. #when hans said he was selling it i couldn't sleep all night. #i called him the next day and jumped on it. #just waiting for the new tailpiece now. #

    That mandolin is the reason why I chose Red Spruce as well. Every time I tasted Hans' mandolins it said "I'm the one!"

    yes, it is speeding its way through the ups system as we speak. #sometime next week i will be speeding my way to connecticut to have it installed. i have a really hard time leaving the mandolin even overnight so my luthier is going to do it while i wait. #

    i have to commend bill james on his swift production of these tailpieces. #(i'm not a big fan of the price tailpiece that strings from the underside).
