Default Looking for information about Glen Dean Cecil.

I'm looking for information about Glen Dean Cecil mandolins. He has no web site or facebook page, and in looking at the archives here at Mandolin Cafe, I find very little information.. Anyone have photos or information about him or his mandolins? I'd appreciate any help. Thanks, Kenc

Glen lives in West Virginia and builds F-style mandolins with "The Bluegrass" as his brand. A while back someone posted a local news feature about Glen. It seems Glen is a professional machinist who claims that he got into luthiery after taking apart a Gibson mandolin and seeing "what they done wrong." We had a fair bit of discussion about that, since as you can well imagine, this claim rubbed some people the wrong way.

    Here's the thread:

There are one or two Cecil owners on the Cafe; perhaps someone will pipe up.

Think I'll re-examine my laminectomy to see what the neurosurgeon did that was sub-optimal...
