    Default #2 Unicorn (Gibson f5 copy) by Rolfe Gearhart

    I have had this wonderfull mandolin for over 20 years. Just thought I would post a picture for those early Unicorn mandolin lovers. I have had several communications with Rolfe over the years and this mandolin was the second of three F5 copies. Maybe the one that frustrated him. Lynn Dudenbostel made the pick guard and carved out the fingerboard for me about 12 years ago. This mandolin sings like a bird and plays like a Stradivarius.

    Love it. Rolfe really knows how to make a great-sounding mandolin. I'd love to play one of his F5 copies some day.
