    Shorpy is an amazing site that publishes high-res copies of historic photos, you should like them on Facebook to get near daily examples of their images. Here is one they posted today of sailors in 1910 on the U.S.S. New York playing music during their "evening amusements", including a couple of bowl backs.

    Couple of bowlbacks there. Obviously taken on a ship. Not sure what the barber shop connection is.

    David: excellent site! Very exciting. It looks like one of those sailors plays just like Kenny Hall -- with his thumbnail as a pick.

    It looks like you can browse thru music photos starting with this page.
