My wife & I visited Bill Monroe's birthplace and his resting place this past weekend in Rosine, Kentucky. We took some photos of the town and the cemetery including Uncle Pen's grave. I'm in some of the pictures, but I hope you enjoy them anyway!

We actually picked a few on the front porch of that general store.
Here's a couple more pictures. The guy at Blue Moon Variety was helpful finding Jerusalem Ridge. I had taken a picture of the sign, but didn't realize that you had to cross the railroad tracks and drive into the woods to go to Bill's birthplace!
We played that old barn one time. It won't hold enough people to make gas money, but it sure was a thrill to be there.

I was in western Kentucky a couple of years ago so I made the side trip to Rosine and did the tourist thing; visited the Monroe home place, Uncle Pen's place, the cemetery.
I got more from the experience than I expected. Seeing the lay of the land gave me a "visual" of the ridges Pen and Bill rode over on the back of a mule made me feel like I knew just a little more about Bill Monroe's background and the origins of Bluegrass music. I recommend a visit to Rosine for fans of Bluegrass.
