    Default International Bluegrass Music Museum

While I was in Kentucky this past weekend, visiting the Bill Monroe attractions, I stopped in at the International Bluegrass Music Museum in Owensboro. Here's some of the pictures I took, including the Bill Monroe Centennial Exhibit.

They must have had a photo-shoot the day they took the lower picture.Bill Monroe's wearing the same jacket & Stetson that he's wearing on the cover of his LP - "Bluegrass Instrumentals".It's one of my favourite photos of Bill Monroe. I was at the premier of the film - "High Lonesome" at the IBM Museum in Sept.'92 & there was already a terrific collection of photos.,inc some really good ones of the late Clarence White.I bought my copy of Neil Rosenberg's book 'Bluegrass - a History' at the same time,Charles Wolf sold it to me. Back in the Hotel,i went up to my room in the elevator & who should be in there with me,but Neil Rosenberg himself,& i never thought to ask him to sign my book,
