I thought that if I went to see the "Mandolin Messiah" it might mean he (or she) wouldn't show up for the gig...

    Thanks for the heads-up...

I'd love to go see this if it was in Milwaukee! That's music for the big boys!

But, we have the Milwaukee Mandolin Orchestra, the world's oldest mandolin orchestra. I'm sure they could Handel it ...

I'm sure you could, but you've been Haydn your light under a bushel.

    Now, get Bach to practicing.

I thought for sure this was a message thread about Martin.

That's because you haven't heard me play! I can think of two guys in Seattle named Pete who are more deserving of the title ... plus plenty of guys and gals not named Pete.

In a desperate attempt to get this thread back on track: it's not about me, but I am playing mandocello in the group and really looking forward to it. Our vocalists are fantastic and they're going to knock it out of the park ... they're all fascinated to be singing with mandolin backup. If you attend only one performance of Messiah in Seattle this season, please come to ours as well.

All the easy composer puns are already taken, so a post like that is hard de Falla. Maybe we should Carl the puns Orff.
