Hi all,

Best greetings,
Alex.
What an absolutely fantastic performance! Duly terrifying in the tempest of the first movement, duly jolly in the mirth of the last one. And as for Night at the Docks, the ship, while safely moored, still rocks on the water; and neither the foot, nor the heart lands where one might have expected it to. Ferdinand and Saskia perfectly capture the deeply unsettling character of this piece.
Three cheers to these two, absolutely fabulous performers. They truly set the stage on fire!

I liked the interaction between the two instruments, a kind of conversation.

Thank you!
Yup, that's exactly what chamber music is all about...

Please forgive me for asking but, is that a classical guitar? It looks so intimidating to me.

Thank you, John. Indeed, a breathtaking performance! The sea is as savage as it is seductive. I spent some of the happiest, most deeply meditative, most life-altering hours of my youth staring at the open sea. I am still quite addicted to it, to tell you the truth. Plus, of course, I am certain that I have salt-water running in my veins, considering my Greek islander ancestors had been criss-crossing the Mediterranean as far back as the Middle Ages, in Venetian and Genovese times of maritime trade.
Londy, I must defer to others, better informed, to give you a more comprehensive answer but, to my understanding, that is a 10-string guitar, i.e. a classical guitar with an extended lower range— a most impressive beast! Perhaps someone else here can chime in, giving you some more salient specifics about this instrument.
Cheers,
Victor
