Though I've never been much for the 'bridgeless tone' I have tried the 'instrument stand' illustrated on the front cover. Once. Never again.

Step 2: If by chance your mandolin does have a bridge it's much better if its in the correct position... oh! and keeping your mandolin clean, with good strings will help!
