Default Mandozine "Arpeggios - David Grisman" chart or good alternatives

Several months ago while browsing thru the Mandozine site I printed out a great arpeggios exercise chart listed as being from David Grisman. I haven't been able to find it in my recent searches (although in the upper right it says tabledited by Mike Stangeland so that could be a clue). I guess my biggest question in trying to use that chart is what fingering I should use in jumping to the 2nd octave for each of the keys.

Or, alternatively, what do people recommend as good practice material for learning arpeggios going up the neck (at least 2 octaves)? Thanks as usual for all your words of wisdom!

Wow, Greg, thanks for the fast response! Your first alternative above is exactly what I was looking for, including fingering. My original version didn't have that as part of the tab. Now I can work on this without wondering if I'm learning it the wrong way. Much appreciated!

There is a nice Chris Thile Homespun DVD called "Essential Techniques for Mandolin" that covers this similar turf, arpeggios, scales & changing positions up the neck.....among other topics. It is worth the price of admission just seeing him illustrate these. He looks to be in his mid- late teens, the Nickel Creek era........when this was made. He plays a few tunes too including his Ode to a Butterfly.

I haven't found these charts in pdf but was able to install a free version of TablEdit to read, play and print them. Here's a link to the website: http://www.tabledit.com/tefview/index.shtml Just click on the Download option & then follow instructions to install.

Sorry, I'm not a techie and don't have any of the external apps that supposedly can be used for converting from tef to pdf. Perhaps another of our fellow Cafe members can assist with this? This is the file that needs to be converted to pdf: Arpeggios - Minimum Daily Requirements http://www.mandozine.com/music/table...DR-Grisman.tef

Is there any publishing/copyright infringement potential here? I think the Grisman article originally was published in FRETS magazine.

Why not just write it out? Like, for the Grisman article:

    02457/2457/2357/23 et cetera. Fingering 12341234123412

By the way, the Grisman studies are for scales, not arpeggios.

Here are 2 of the files in pdf, if it worked. if not I'lltry again later.

FYI, you should really download the free tabledit viewer. The wealth of available files here and on mandozine are an invaluable resource fro learning new tunes.

Here is the other file. Note, there were only 3 unique files linked above.Click image for larger version.

I'm working with the Grishman Minimum Daily Requirements exercises. Could someone suggest the correct fingering for these? Thanks!

This link here has fingering noted, if you are able to open up .tef files: Arpeggios - Minimum Daily Requirements http://www.mandozine.com/music/table...DR-Grisman.tef

Yes, I am able to open .tef files.

Now I see some of the fingerings indicated in the music notation staff (not the tab staff). However, it does not indicate the complete fingerings. Even so, it certainly gives me something to work with.

FYI - The link you provided (above) give me a 404 (file not found) error.

I believe this is the correct link:

    http://www.mandozine.com/music/table...DR-Grisman.tef

    Thanks!
