    That looks nice to me actually... but then I probably have no taste

    I like the patterns produced by those medullary rays in the centre too...

    Yeah, I think it looks fine too, but it doesn't look "boring" enough to be considered high grade tonewood. Some might even consider it to be "crappy wood"!

    I hade the same thing happen to my saga kit. I ended up adding the color to my lacquer. it came out dark but ok.Attachment 97253

    I believe this is settled business now,Hobo. So clip that canebottom resonator off and preclude future caseing problems.
