Hi folks. Wanted to announce a page that I have started on FB...the Monroe Mandolin Appreciation Society. Do you play Monroe style, wish to, or just like to hear and talk about it? Come on over and join with us. The page is growing. One of the central ideas of the page is to have folks post videos of their interpretations of Monroe stuff for us all to enjoy. We pick a song, everyone who wishes to submits a video of the song (We are on "Southern Flavor" right now) and we all get to watch, enjoy and compare notes. Chris Henry is a killer Monroe stylist and is on board as co-administrator. David Davis, CJ Lewandowski, Travers Chandler, Matt Dudman and other traditional Blue Grass devotees are there with new faces coming in daily. Already over a half-dozen cool Monroe style vids. CJ Lewandowski is posting daily "lost" Opry performances from the 1940s.
