    Default Who Plays a Tolley?

Just missed a Tolley "A" model on the classifieds here, and am having trouble moving on with my life. It had a black front, oval sound hole, and just really got under my skin. Anybody have one?

I have played that one, it's a good'un! Matt is making some really nice mandos and may have a couple more hanging around. You can contact him to find out:

I think my friend Glenn in Seattle bought that A model. It's very nice.

I was sorry to lose out, but I hope he's enjoying it (). I wonder how it would compare with a Collings, since they offer a comparable model...

Mathew's instruments are fantastic, his craftsmanship is perfect, and you couldn't find a nicer guy. His classic archtop guitar is one of the coolest-looking instruments I've seen.

Thanks for that, Andrew. I visited your site and was blown away by the beautiful work. If you say Tolleys are nice, they must be.

I just had the pleasure of playing a Tolley mandolin at the the Healdsburg Guitar Festival. It is a true beauty in aesthetics and sound. I definitely hope to save up to buy one someday.

I played one at Healdsburg too. I loved it and will probably order in future for my UK store.

Glad to hear he's got some more mandolins finished!

Matt has exhibited instruments at Seattle Mandolin Orchestra concerts in the past. We have a bunch of gigs coming up and will try to plug him in at a few of them, if you want a chance to come by and see his stuff.
