"Articles"

Hi,

I clicked on "Articles" and got this:

Your user account does not have sufficient privileges to access this page because you must first complete your registration properly. Please check your email for the confirmation email we sent you. A valid email address must be used to register, and then our administrator must verify and approve your account request.

Maybe I don't understand what "Articles" is for---I was looking for some information on setting up a home recording "studio".

The message you're receiving is one of not being logged in. The other issue is I know what Articles are but those links are supposed to be turned off everywhere in the forum software because we don't make use of those. Articles published on the site are hosted through a different piece of software that pre-dated the forum by many years and is unrelated to forum membership. Where are you acquiring the Articles link? ie., where are you seeing it?

Hi Scott,

1. I am/was logged in when I attempted.

2. I see the link on my own home page (at the Cafe). I initially saw it and tried it at another member's homepage, who is on my "Friends" list. Just tried it at a random other member's home page and it's visible there, so I assume it's on every home page. All these return the error message.

Let me know if you want me to try anything else.

There's nothing to see there at that link and if there was it would be to articles you authored, which we don't make use of on the forum. If Articles were in use there'd be prominent links on the forum. I'd simply missed that link, which is now gone.

See it in 2 places. When you click on a members name. It's in the dropdown. And also listed in the "Advanced Search".
