I'm curious if there is any jams in the area that a beginner for years can come and be welcomed?

- In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven. - Matthew 5:16
I'm a bit slow on checking this out, but as no one's really replied so far, I' still get to be a bit helpful.
In the region, the most up-to-date list of regular jams is here:

I'm down in Delaware, so I don't know any on that side of 896, so I can't give you specifics on any of the jams, but shoot em an e-mail and ask. If you're going to the Delaware Valley BG fest on Labor day, I'll keep an eye out for ya.
I suggest you contact Mike Andrews at Meadowood Music in Blandon, PA - only about 30 miles from you

There is some information on the site regarding various events, and he would also know of jam-sessions in the area. I've just started taking lessons from him.
