Thread: Style sheet issue with signatures

Default Style sheet issue with signatures

The overflow is hidden on the blockquote element used in signatures. As a result, the descenders are cut off on everyone's signature. It could be fixed by adding a bit of padding to the

    They look fine on Firefox.

Yes, the problem is only in Firefox on the PC. Chrome and IE are fine:

Sharp eyes David. I just worked-around it by adding an empty line to my signature.

I use nothing but Firefox on PC although I use Chrome, IE and Safari, latter two for testing only. On my Macintosh laptop I use Safari and Firefox. I cannot find an instance of this in any of these browsers. I don't for a minute doubt your issue David, but unless I can replicate it I'm not anxious to start altering styles. I can find no discussion of this on the support forum for this product. This software runs on over a half million forums so if there's an issue it comes up quickly. I'm wondering if the software versions of Firefox you are running may have something to do with this. I've talked to a few other FF users who are not seeing this.

Thanks for looking into it Scott. Not the end of the world, obviously. I am using the latest version of FF. It doesn't seem to happen every time now, oddly enough, and will appear in some posts and not others, and not even the same post every time. So who knows.

    David,
I use a Firefox add-on called 'Squint' which increases the font and image sizes on the webpage. I see the cut off descenders when I have the add-on set to 110% or above, but everything comes into view when I decrease the magnification to 100 or less.
Might you be using such a magnifier program?

No, I don't use one of those.

Last night I was looking at the site on my iPad, and I noticed it happens on there too. Again, not every time.
