Default Kansas State Fiddling & Picking Championship this Weekend?

Anybody going to the Kansas State Fiddling & Picking Championship this coming weekend?

    http://kansasfiddlingandpicking.org/

I'm hoping for a Scott Tichenor sighting at a minimum!

Is the Official pre-party and JAM on Saturday night at the Americana Music Academy worth showing up for?

    Crickets...

Makes me think I ought to compete--I could sweep first place just by showing up!

I'll be there. I'm almost sure that Scott will be there too.

I hope to be there Sunday unless a bicycle ride gets in the way. It's a wonderful event and I believe Free State Brewery is going to be serving their liquid elixir at the event! Lots of wonderful folks and a great afternoon in the park. Good ole Kansas hospitality at the mandolin center of the universe (thanks, Scott!).

    Cheers.

If the "Prairie Acre" band is performing be sure and catch them. They don't have a mandolin in the line up but they are one of the best string bands I've ever seen or heard. They have tons of personality along with great music. The lady that plays fiddle is a Fury! She is amazing!
