I've heard Ronda play the Smith Creek live and it has WHOMP!
I checked Smith Creek and they sell parts for guitars and mandolins as well as tone woods but I didn't see completed instruments. Must have missed something.

just to confuse the discussion, here is a shot from august of this year at the milan, mi BG festival. mando is none of the above mentioned ones, although i think she also used the smith creek for a couple tunes. she did take a few nice breaks too.
was a great day! 2 sets each from rhonda, grascals, and mike cleveland/flamekeepers.
