I'm glad a blue collar guy won. What a nice gesture on the part of all. Congrats!
Congrats to Todd and Mandolin Cafe and Collings for doing this...........had a blast!
Congratulations, Todd! I'm sure the right guy won it, and may you enjoy playing it for many years to come.
Thanks again to D'Addario, Collings and mandolincafe for putting this on.
Big congrats! I look forward to learning more

Good for you Todd..play it well..play it for a life time!!!
Runner-up and Grand Winner names/reasons have been entered into the opening post.
Well those were better than what I submitted, I have to say.
Congratulations to all the winners. Those names are fantastic! I loved "Nigel Tufnel"...I just saw a photo of Christopher Guest, who played Nigel in "This is Spinal Tap", playing a Collings...so your name is very appropriate.
Congratulations to all the winners and sponsors. I hope the next contest will be a random drawing and not based on creative writing so me and others will have a chance.
Congratulations to Todd (has he showed his virtual face here yet?) and the runners-up, and thanks to all the sponsors.
Personally, I hope the contests continue to be skill-based, as I've never won a random drawing in my life and doubt I ever will... (I did win a MC hat once for captioning a photo, though!)

Well done to all winners. Thanks for not selecting me (even though my entry was obviously the best), as you must have realised that I could not have afforded to pay the tax and import duty which would have been extorted from me when my prize entered the UK!
Nigel Tufnel - Nigel was really influenced by Bach and wrote a trilogy in Dm, the saddest of keys called Lick My Love Pump. This Mando would kick ass which echoes Artie Fufkin who had no timing. He requested the band, "Kick my Ass." I'm not asking, I'm telling.
Seriously, this was a winner? A bit crass for this site dontcha think?
